8 Solid Entrepreneurship Tips
Neil Patel wrote an article on the QuickSprout website titled, 8 Core Beliefs for Extraordinary entrepreneurs. Neil always hits the mark. For instance, here’s the first point, which I think applies to the majority of people, myself included:
Belief 1: Decide and move!
When I first started my business, this was the very first lesson that I learned. It took me a long time to adjust to taking a choice and acting on it.
Was I making a mistake? Since then I’ve learned that making a mistake is not a bad thing. In fact, you can learn from your mistakes and use that knowledge to make better decisions in the future.
When you first start out in business, hiring and terminating people, budgets for projects, office space, and creative advertising will be a struggle. These questions will consume days or even weeks when you are first starting out in business.
When I lost a client worth a million dollars, this core belief came back to my mind. The client was happy with my service, but wanted to know what I would do next to help them take their business further. I had a few ideas, but I didn’t make a decision on which idea I was going to act on. In the end, it was because I took too much time to decide that I lost my $1.2M client.
The other points are just as interesting/practical, so make sure to set 5 minutes aside and read the full article.
