Oppo says its Find X6 Pro phone does not have a main camera
Oppo’s first flagship series for 2023 is now available. On Tuesday, the Chinese company revealed its Find X6 series. It claims that this marks an “all new three main cameras era”. This is a shift from a singular focus on one main camera for smartphones.
Oppo and Hasselblad co-developed the Find X6 Pro, which features a trio 50-megapixel rear camera. This camera is composed of three cameras: a wide-angle, 1-inch-sensor camera; a periscope-style Telephoto camera which Oppo claims has the largest smartphone-telephoto sensor in its class, and an ultra-wide-angle macro camera. Oppo claims that the Find X6 Pro has a lens cover made of glass and aluminum, and it is resistant to corrosion and drops. The frontside houses a 32-megapixel self-portrait camera.
Oppo packed its Find X6 Pro, aside from its camera system with features that will make it a strong Android flagship by 2023. The Find X6 Pro’s 6 has the brightest phone screen on perhaps any commercially sold phone (2500 nits), a cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen Plus 2 processor, a large battery, and uber fast charging in both wireless and wired capacities, which promise to revitalize the device’s dead battery in 30 minutes and 51 minutes respectively.
Oppo appears to have tried to make a sturdy flagship. Corning’s new Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is the front display. It apparently has a 30% drop protection, whatever that might mean. The IP68 rating means that it is water- and dust-resistant and protects against dust. This rating applies to Samsung’s Galaxy S23 range. Also, the iPhone 14 range has the same rating. Oppo also claims the battery will maintain 80% of its original capacity after 4 years, even with fast charging.
Oppo states that there is no international release plan for the Find X6 Series. Oppo provided me with the Chinese version of the Find X6 Pro in advance of China’s launch. I was able to test the main feature, the rear camera module of the device, in the short time that I had. The pricing information was not available as of writing.
Ultra-Wide Camera for X6Pro
On the right hand side of the circular bump is the ultra-wide 50-megapixel camera. The camera has an equivalent focal length of 15mm, and an aperture of f/2.2. This camera’s macro mode was my favorite way to use it. Oppo’s Macro Mode has been something I love for a long time. It’s incredibly easy to take super close up shots and the camera manages to swiftly auto focus on the subject whether its light or dark. It was amazing to see how the phone can take beautiful macro photos in low lighting using its ultra-wide camera. The images also have a natural depth of field, which I found very impressive. The X6 Pro Telephoto Camera
Oppo claims that the Find X6 Pro’s periscope-style telephoto lens has a large Sony IMX980 sensor. The aperture is f/2.6. The Find X6 Pro’s Telephoto Camera is a must-have for clear photos of distant subjects. Scroll down to see more samples. You can get 6x optical zoom with 120x digital zoom on the Find X6 Pro. The iPhone 14 Pro Max has 3x optical zoom. It also features 15x digital zoom. Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra boasts 10x optical zoom.
Find X6 Pro Wide Camera
The wide camera It uses Sony’s IMX 989 sensor, which is the same one-inch sensor found on the , Xiaomi’s 12S Ultra, Vivo’s X90 Pro flagship phone. But a one-inch camera sensor doesn’t really measure an inch, as those phones have shown. However, it is definitely larger than a typical phone camera. What’s commendable is that Oppo was able to fit a 1-inch sensor into a phone body that is roughly the same thickness as an iPhone 1 Pro Max, but more than 20 grams lighter. The larger sensor gives you a greater dynamic range, and better low-light performance in both video and photos. Oppo claims that the Find X6 Pro’s sensor can handle up to 142% more light than its predecessor, the Find X5 Pro. It is also 156% bigger than the Find X5 Pro. While I am unable to independently verify this claim, my personal experience with the camera shows it can take great pictures in dark or light situations. A f/1.8 aperture is also available on the ultra-wide model. Below are some images taken using the Find X6 Pro, as well as a specification sheet.
