Delft in the Netherlands has hosted the House of Quantum’s first ever location. The House of Quantum is meant to become the world’s first national quantum campus, consisting of several assembly buildings for quantum computingCompanies are spread throughout the Netherlands. Orange Quantum Systems and Qblox are among the first to establish themselves at the new Dutch quantum computing campus.
House of Quantum is a collaboration between international corporations, academics and financiers. By purchasing memberships, these organizations will be able to make use of lab space and office space as well as other services the House of Quantum offers.
Quantum Delta NL (QDNL), is launching House of Quantum in an effort to grow the tech industry, promote cooperation between hardware and software, and attract non-technical stakeholders who can help the country’s quantum economy. The National Growth Fund allocated 615 millions euros of financing to support this goal.
Workspaces, Labs, Testbeds
Businesses developing these technologies at this stage in the quantum economy will need offices and high-quality lab facilities. Sometimes, they are too costly for individuals to implement. The House of Quantum is slated to open in Eindhoven (Amsterdam), and Twente between 2023 and 2026 as part of the national initiative for quantum technology. Quantum Delta NLThe Netherlands. Two more locations will be added to Delft, one of them being a location near the city in 2023.
Workspaces, labs, and ‘testbeds’ for quantum computers, quantum networks, and quantum sensors will be available in the main building, which would be recognized as one of Europe’s smartest 12,000m2 quantum meter. Cepezed and Deerns are the architects and engineering companies that will build the main building, which is due to be completed in 2025.

Every place will have its own footprint, reflecting the needs of regional players within the hub. These two Delft campuses are home to startups that are developing quantum hardware, and other electronics. The site provides members with workstations that can be used as plug-and-play, flexible offices, meeting rooms and a Mediterranean-style restaurant.
The International Quantum Community: Engaging
International startups and SMEs can now become House of Quantum members, with the opening of the first House of Quantum office. This membership can be used to open a lab or office, as well as for co-working or community memberships. Sponsorships of House of Quantum are available for larger businesses.

Quantum Delta NL, a public-private partnership made up of international tech companies and government agencies is a network that brings together all the major quantum research centres in the Netherlands.
